Job Title: Sales Representative

Overview:

Waldan Gardens is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Representative to lead our sales efforts, drive revenue growth, and strengthen customer relationships. As part of our dynamic team, you will work closely with key clients, distributors, retailers, and partners to expand our market share and optimize sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate Sales: Generate new and repeat sales by providing product information.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and promoting our products effectively.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain ongoing sales relationships with current customers, ensuring communication regarding product availability, pricing, and promotion.
  • Long-Term Planning: Develop strategic sales plans with customers to support long-term business goals and expansion opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities for product diversification and business growth.
  • Inventory Oversight: Ensure that product supply meets customer demand and seasonal requirements, collaborating with production and inventory teams.
  • Vendor/Customer Coordination: Work with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery and manage lead times.
  • Sales Reporting: Analyze sales data and generate reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Software Proficiency: Learn and use our Production Software, Plant Partner Enterprise and Spire, to manage sales, inventory, and production efficiently.
  • Travel: Attend industry-related trade shows and customer meetings locally and across Ontario, promoting Waldan Gardens' products.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Contribute to the development and improvement of internal processes and procedures.
  • Requisitions: Submit requisitions for supplies and materials needed, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Proven success in sales preferably in the horticulture industry.
  • Experience in production planning, forecasting, inventory control, lead times, and logistics.
  • Strong ability to follow through on commitments, work independently, and build strong customer relationships.
  • Team player with adaptability and a customer-first attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and CRM skills.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse operations and experience with inventory and order management.
  • Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends, with the ability to create and implement strategic plans.
  • Positive attitude with a results-driven mindset.

Additional Skills:

Experience in the floral industry is a strong asset.
Familiarity with retail and wholesale floral product markets.

Location: Waldan Gardens, Wainfleet Ontario

Salary: Competitive pay based on experience (60K+)
